Uveren.ru still can’t contract

6 July 2009 (10:57)

Uveren.ru Insurance Company (the asset of Bank24.ru) is still unable to sign any insurance contracts, the company’s press center reports. According to the call center, the insurer does not even know when the Federal Insurance Surveillance Service’s sanction is to be lifted. They do hope, however, that they will be able to function as usual as soon as next week.

The company’s license was halted by the Service’s order on June 18, 2009. The decision was taken after the insurer had failed to fulfill the Service’s provisions. For one, Uveren.ru is reported to have failed to inform the Service of their new location.

According to the company’s official website, the business was founded by Bank24.ru (which holds 4.99% of its shares) and the bank’s former co-owners Sergey Lapshin and Boris Dyakonov, who own 71% and 24% of shares, respectively.
