TMK’s pipe shipments drop 17.8%
16 April 2009 (09:43)
Pipe Metallurgical Company (TMK) shipped 581,000 tons of steel pipes to its consumers in the first quarter of 2009. This is 17.8% less than a year earlier.
‘The decrease in shipments primarily has to do with the market’s shrinking demand; this is particularly true of the industrial pipe market. For one, the domestic market’s volume has decreased by 33% recently,’ the spokesperson for the company explains.
