Ural Airlines offers tickets to summer holiday destinations

12 January 2009 (09:07)

Ural Airlines is already offering its customers tickets to the popular summer holiday destinations in the south of Russia. The tickets are available for all the flights that are to be operated throughout the entire summer season, which means the company’s customers can book the tickets several months in advance at current prices and thus avoid the high-season 25% to 35% price increase.

‘We are trying to steer clear of special offers that promise extremely low prices, since there have been plenty of other airlines that have announced very low-price sales and then fell through in the coming season. Ural Airlines’ price level, on the other hand, allows for motivating the customers to buy early and less expensively without doing damage to the company itself. This is the only reasonable solution at the time of an economic crisis,’ says the company’s Deputy Commercial Director for Sales Dmitriy Lvov.

‘As a matter of fact, this year’s prices are not any higher than those we sold at in January 2008, if you consider the current inflation rate, of course. Actually, after Russian Railways Public Company declared a ticket price increase of 12% (for open plan carriages) to 13% (for compartment and sleeping carriages), flying with us will become comparable with going by train,’ the carrier reports.
