Ural State University to elect new Rector
Ural State University is getting ready to elect their new Rector. Two people have applied for the position so far; they are Dmitriy Bugrov, the Dean of the Department of History, and Evgeniy Pamyatnikh, pro-Rector. The former Rector Vladimir Tretyakov had to resign on December 12, 2006 due to turning 70. The federal Higher and Postgraduate Education Act states that no person over 70 can be a rector of any higher educational establishment.
