Koltsovo airport’s rental rates must be reconsidered, Rosimuschestvo says

Sverdlovsk Region Court of Arbitration is to consider the claim laid by Rosimuschestvo’s regional division against Koltsovo airport of Yekaterinburg.

Rosimuschestvo is planning to cancel the rental agreement it has with the airport regarding its premises. The court’s press officer reports this agreement involves the renting of state-run property such as the airport apron, the runways, the aircraft parking areas and so on; the whole set’s balance sheet value has been estimated to come to 397,285,629 RUR.

‘The airport’s rental rates haven’t changed since the 90s, which means they really must be reconsidered as soon as possible. We have tried introducing the new fees a number of times, but Koltsovo was unwilling to comply, which is why we had to go to court. The Ministry of Transport and Rosimuschestvo are to estimate the market value of all the premises, whereupon these are most likely to be transferred from Rosimuschestvo to AGA, a federal state unitary enterprise responsible for managing the civil airports. AGA will therefore have to negotiate with Koltsovo airport in the future,’ says head of Rosimuschestvo’s regional division Andrei Lysenko.
