17 October 2007 (12:49)

Ural Airlines is going to operate its first restored flight to Gyumri on October 25, 2007. The temporary halt in performance was brought about by the overhaul given to Armenia’s second largest airport. All the repairs have been completed by now.

The airline’s press officer says the recent marketing research has shown that this destination is going to be popular with business people from Sverdlovsk, Chelyabinsk, and Kurgan Regions, as well as with the Armenian business community. In addition, the company will probably fly a lot of the military personnel due to Armenia’s important geopolitical characteristics. By now, Russia and Armenia can take pride in a wide range of various cooperation agreements; the lion’s share of providing for effective military and strategic cooperation rests with the Russian military base in Gyumri.
