Nizhniy Tagil customs impose 2.7 million RUR worth of fines

The officers of Nizhniy Tagil customs filed 82 administrative lawsuits against various sorts of offenders in September 2007, which exceeds the figures for a year earlier by 33%, the spokesperson for Ural Customs Administration reports.
The data available on these cases imply that over a half of offenses involved have to do with violation of the currency legislation (Article 15.25 of Russian Administrative Code). As a result of processing the lawsuits, 2.7 million RUR worth of fines were imposed on the culprits.
