Ministry of Economic Development and Trade and Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs to hold meeting in Yekaterinburg on October 12, 2007

The Russian Federation Ministry of Economic Development and Trade and Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs’ Coordinating Committee are going to hold a meeting on state support of export in Yekaterinburg on October 12, 2007.

According to UC RUSAL’s local press officer Roman Lukichev, the agenda of the meeting covers issues like the main factors that prevent industrial export from being effective, ways of using the state regulation of export better, and new approaches to cooperation among businesses, export-supporting NGOs, and the state.

The meeting will be attended by representatives of the federal executive branch who are responsible for state support of export, Vnesheconombank executives, heads of business unions and regional divisions of Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, CEOs of Ural Federal District’s major enterprises, and members of the scientific community.

The meeting is expected to last from 10 AM to 3 PM and will take place in the World Trade Center conference hall. A press briefing is to follow; Chairman of Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs’ Coordinating Committee in Ural Federal District Viktor Vekselberg and Deputy Minister for Economic Development and Trade Vitaliy Savelyev are going to conduct a Q&A session for reporters.
