Medium-term financial planning to be done by Chelyabinsk Region Government on August 15, 2007

Governor of Chelyabinsk Region Petr Sumin is expected to chair a cabinet meeting on August 15, 2007. The agenda of the meeting covers issues like approving of the region’s budget for 2008, medium-term financial planning for Chelyabinsk Region in 2007-2010, and the region’s socio-economic development strategy in 2007-2020.
Some changes will also be made in terms of the regional laws on the budgetary processes in Chelyabinsk Region, on guardianship practices in the region, and on the regional education. Changes in the law on Chelyabinsk Region Obligatory Medical Insurance Fund budget are expected to be adopted; the government executives also are to consider the Fund’s next year’s budget. In addition, they are to look into the regional housing development project for 2008-2010, the spokesperson for the Governor of Chelyabinsk Region reports.
