Severnaya Kazna struggles with e-banking problems
10 May 2007 (14:27)
Severnaya Kazna announced it was having problems with its Internetbank project; the bank said they had been struggling with it since May 3, 2007. What is more, Severnaya Kazna mentioned some e-banking trouble on Sunday, April 29, 2007 when Internetbank and Client-Bank were not accessible to any users between 9 AM and 4 PM. Some short-term breakdowns could also have occurred afterwards, the bank admitted.
The bank’s customers report e-banking is mostly inconvenient because of the difficulties related to getting access to one’s data during the day. According to the corporate website statistics, more than 900 people used the bank on May 7, 2007, which was why some of the clients were only able to use Internetbank after 6 PM.
Severnaya Kazna’s employees maintain they have found out what the problem is and are now trying to bring things back to normal; the bank‘s customers, however, still haven’t been able to use Internetbank.
In the meantime, BOD Chairman Vladimir Frolov declared at the beginning of the year that the bank was going to stop expanding in 2007 and focus on updating its e-services instead.
