Ural Airlines and Malev keep doing business together

Keeping good partnerships with each other is a must for modern carriers, so Ural Airlines can boast round about fifty interline agreements with the major Russian and foreign airlines, including Czech airlines (the Czech Republic), Emirates (United Arab Emirates), Swiss International Air Lines (Switzerland), Air France (France), S7, UTair, and a number of others, the company’s press officer says. In addition, Ural Airlines keeps doing business with Malev Hungarian Airlines since the latter has recently resumed flying its passengers from Yekaterinburg. The two carriers signed their first interline agreement in 2003, which gave Ural Airlines customers a chance to get the best timing on transiting to Malev flights; what is more, they can get a single ticket throughout the whole flight and don’t have to check in their luggage twice. Malev and Ural Airlines signed a code sharing agreement into the bargain (which means the airline can be used by two carriers one of whom is acting as the operator and another one as a partner; the flight then is registered via a double code). According to Ural Airlines’ Commercial Director Kirill Skuratov, this code sharing agreement will provide for a double numbering of Budapest-Yekaterinburg-Budapest flights, so one can now buy a ticket for a flight to Hungary performed by Malev in any of Ural Airlines’ booking offices.
