Deputy Minister for Industry, Power Engineering, and Science Yuri Shevelev said the region’s sustainable industrial development posed a threat of electricity deficit as well as of possible shortage of other energy sources. The region might fall short of up to 3,000 megawatt in 2015. Energy-saving and putting up new power generating facilities would be a solution to the problem.
