Krasnolesie car center supported the Off Road Club project – a Land Rover expedition to the Cold Pole. Last year, the participants of Polar Express 2006 were helped by the car center to successfully test the Land Rovers in the low temperatures of the trans-polar territories. This time, the expedition is going to head for Oimyakon in Yakutia where the average January temperature amounts to 50 degrees centigrade below zero, and drops to 67.7 degrees centigrade below on some particularly cold days.

Krasnolesie car center conducted the presentation of the expedition team on December 20, 2006, and the explores set off for the Cold Pole.

This is going to be a 15,000 kilometer-drive, to be completed in 22 days, of which 19 days are expected to be spent driving at 600-900 kilometers a day. The Land Rovers for the expedition were prepared for the trip by the car center mechanics.
