Ural Turbine Works JSC (part of Renova Group) exhibited its products as well as the new equipment upgrading projects at the 10th International Exhibition called Oil and Gas of Uzbekistan (OGU 2006) held in Tashkent in mid-May.

The agreement states that the Russian company should invest around $400 million in this project. On December 17, 2002, Uzbekneftgaz and Gazprom signed the Strategic Cooperation Agreement providing for gas extracting as well.

On January 25, 2005, Gazprom and the Republic of Uzbekistan signed the agreement concerning the general rules and principles of sharing the produce of Urga, Kuanysh, and Akchalakskiy deposits, to be followed by the Agreement on the general rules and principles of geological research in Ustyurtskiy area of Usbekistan signed by Gazprom and Uzbekneftgaz.
