Ural Airlines Help Russians in India Fly Back Home

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, April 3, 2020. Ural Airlines are going to take Russian nationals stuck in India because of the novel coronavirus pandemic restrictions back to Russia.

According to the company’s press service, Ural Airlines supported the Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya)’s initiative to coordinate the necessary evacuation flights. The airline worked in partnership with Rosaviatsiya, Russia’s Foreign Affairs Ministry, and the Russian Federation Embassy in Delhi to be granted the permission to operate the flights.

‘Passengers on the embassy’s list with tickets for Ural Airlines and Aeroflot’s scheduled India-Russia flights will be able to go on evacuation flights. There will be text message notifications to keep them informed. Other Russian nationals going back to Russia can purchase tickets at the special price of €100/RUB 8,600 per ticket,’ the airline representatives say.

Tickets for the evacuation flights from India (excluding Goa) are already available on the airline’s website. All flights will be operated on Airbus A321neo units.

According to Ural Airlines’ press service, the following timeframe has been adopted for the flights:
U6 3614 (Trivandrum-Yekaterinburg): April 4
U6 3616 (Chennai-Yekaterinburg): April 5
U6 3610 (Goa-Yekaterinburg): April 6
U6 3612 (Calcutta-Yekaterinburg): April 8
