Yekaterinburg: Price of Studios Up 10%

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, February 20, 2020. The price of studio apartments rose by 10% on Yekaterinburg housing market between January 2019 and January 2020 and can now be had for RUB 77,600 per m2 on average, Avito Nedvizhimost’s analysts state.

This makes Yekaterinburg No. 13 in the rating of Russia’s 24 largest cities with their studio price dynamics.

The price of studio apartments in newly constructed apartment buildings has been going up in nearly every large Russian city. The average studio apartment size, however, has dropped by 2%, down to 26.7 m2. As for Yekaterinburg, a typical studio is now 5% smaller (29 m2 on average), making the city No. 7 in the rating based on studio sizes.

‘In Russia on the whole, the price of studio apartments rose by 8.9%, up to RUB 87,900 per m2. Prices went up in 20 out of 24 largest Russian cities featured in the rating. The price increased most noticeably in Khabarovsk, with studio apartments now costing almost 1.5 times more than in January 2019: RUB 97,700 per m2. In Krasnodar, prices increased by 21%, up to RUB 47,000 per m2, and in Perm, prices rose by 18%, up to RUB 62,900 per m2,’ the analysts say.
