Sverdlovsk Region: 96.4% of Housing Maintenance Fees Get Paid
4 February 2020 (09:35)
UrBC, Yekaterinburg, February 4, 2020. 96.43% of assigned overhaul maintenance and structural repair fees for home owners in apartment buildings got collected in Sverdlovsk Region last year, Director-General at Sverdlovsk Region Structural Repair Facilitation Fund Stanislav Sukhanov announced at a press conference in Yekaterinburg.
‘A year earlier, 95.72% of all the assigned fees got collected/paid. This means the percentage is now up 0.71%. I haven’t seen the figures for the country’s average yet, but I would assume Sverdlovsk Region is above average in this respect,’ Sukhanov said.
According to Sukhanov, last year the collected funds got directed to structural repairs and maintenance in 1,037 apartment buildings, which was 100% of the target figures for the year 2019.
‘Elevators only got replaced in twelve different buildings last year, compared with 1,000 new elevators installed in 2017. The discrepancy has to do with the fact that we used to go by the paying-in-installments-over-a-thirty-six-month-period system back then. This means the entire amount for the elevators installed in 2017 will get paid out by July 1, 2020, which is when we can resume replacing elevators in buildings on a large scale again,’ Sukhanov said.
