Sverdlovsk Region: Number of Car Loans Down 2.5%
8 August 2019 (09:11)
UrBC, Yekaterinburg, August 8, 2019. 8,283 car loans got issued on Sverdlovsk Region market in the second quarter of 2019, which was 2.5% less than one year previously, the National Credit History Bureau's research findings indicate.
In Russia on the whole, 241,200 loans got issued in 2019'Q2, which exceeded the figures for one year earlier by 8%.
'Banks keep issuing car loans on a relatively large scale, yet this market segment isn't as booming as it used to be some years back. The important thing is, automobile loans boost demand for new and used cars and therefore support the Russian car makers. This particular loan type has also proved quite stable: the share of overdue payments, for example, is much smaller in this market segment than in the unsecured loan segment,' says the bureau's Director-General Alexander Vikulin.
