UrBC, Chelyabinsk, June 28, 2019. ChelPipe Group started a transformation program for META Group, its scrap metal division. Switching to a customer-oriented, digital technology-based business model will enhance the company’s business efficiency and make it one of Russia’s top three scrap metal enterprises.
According to the Group’s press service, the program will get fully implemented by 2023 and will consist of two different stages. In 2019-2021, an objective-based business process structure will get developed, and IT solutions will get introduced to control and manage the scrap metal collection and processing.
In 2022-2023, META will focus on regional development and on becoming the Russian market’s blocking stake leader. The transformation is expected to raise the company’s target EBITDA to RUB 1 billion by 2020.
‘META’s strategic goal is to become Russia’s No.1 scrap metal supplier. The transformation program is the necessary thing to do if we want to achieve this goal and respond proactively to the market’s challenges. I’m positive that our team’s professional skills, customer-oriented approach, and business digitization will all make working with the company more convenient as well as will result in our service fully meeting our customers’ expectations,’ says META Group’s Director-General Oleg Ryabko.
This year, META intends to implement seven projects aimed at the company’s business process transformation. For one, centralizing the purchase and logistics processes will cut the company’s purchasing costs by 5% and will ensure better control over vehicle performance.
