Russia’s Used Car Market Up 8.6% in April 2019

UrBC, Moscow, May 21, 2019. Russia’s used car market amounted to 482,200 automobiles in April 2019, which exceeded the figures for April 2018 by 8.6%, Autostat reports.
The Russian brand LADA remains the absolute market leader: more than 25% of used cars sold in April (123,000 units) were LADA makes. This is, in fact, 6.6% more than one year earlier. As for foreign-made cars, the Japanese brand Toyota, with 52,800 used cars sold last month (+4.8% on a year earlier), was No.1, followed by another Japanese brand Nissan (27,300 units, up 10.9% on a year earlier), and the Korean brands Hyundai (25,100 units, up 16.7% on a year earlier) and KIA (22,800 units, up 18.4% on a year earlier).
There were 1,619,300 automobiles on the Russian used car market in January-April 2019, which exceeded the figures for one year earlier by 2.8%.
