Sverdlovsk Region: Average Car Loan Amount Up 9.7%

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, May 14, 2019. Sverdlovsk Region came No. 14 in the rating of Russia’s top thirty constituencies with the largest car loan markets. The average car loan amount came to RUB 722,437 in Sverdlovsk Region in the first quarter of the year, which exceeds the figures for the previous quarter (RUB 658,766) by 9.7%.
According to the National Credit History Bureau, banks operating in Moscow currently issue the largest average car loan amount (RUB 1,094,100), followed by those in Moscow Region (RUB 946,200), and Saint Petersburg (RUB 923,700). Banks operating in Kemerovo Region issue the smallest average car loan amount (RUB 433,900), followed by those in Udmurtia (RUB 590,700) and Samara Region (RUB 622,700).
The lending dynamics looks most dramatic in Stavropol Territory, where the average car loan amount issued by a bank rose by as much as 20.2%; things look similar for Ulyanovsk Region (+17.8%) and Tatarstan (+15.8%). At the same time, the average car loan amount shrank considerably in Kemerovo Region (-32.3%) and Novosibirsk Region (-9.2%).
In Russia on the whole, the average car loan amount issued by a bank came to RUB 756,200 in the first quarter of 2019. This is 8.1%, or RUB 56,700, more than one year previously, when the figure was RUB 699,500.
