MMK Group’s vehicle department Avtotransportnoye Upravleniye issued a performance report in celebration of a special day: the department was set up on August 13, 1969. The company is now one of the Southern Urals’ leading vehicle and transportation businesses with over a thousand rolling stock and automobile/truck units at its disposal. The department also maintains a large production facilities network, MMK’s press service reports.

Avtotransportnoye Upravleniye contributes greatly to the area’s socioeconomic development and handles both MMK’s cargo (the company’s key customer for freight forwarding services) and the shipments coming from other consignors operating throughout the country.

The company is a partner in a number of MMK’s important construction and reconstruction projects such as the construction of a hot metal desulfurization unit, Sheet-Rolling Shop 10, Electric Steel-Smelting Shop, Mill 5000, the cold-roll Mill 2000, Continuous Hot Dip Galvanizing Line 3, Blast Furnaces 4 and 10, and Sulphur-Trapping Unit/Sintering Plant 2, and the relocation of a slitting unit from Interkos IV to Sheet-Rolling Shop 8.
