UrBC, Yekaterinburg, August 1, 2018. The Ural Bank for Reconstruction & Development (UBRD) now offers mortgage options to customers based in seven more cities: Izhevsk, Nizhniy Novgorod, Samara, Togliatti, Saint Petersburg, Saratov, and Orenburg.

According to the bank’s press service, these cities got selected based on their real estate/mortgage market situation and on the UBRD’s business potential there. As of June 1, 2018, the Central Bank stated that Leningrad Region, Nizhniy Novgorod Region, Samara Region, Orenburg Region, and Saratov Region were all among the country’s top thirty constituencies in terms of the amount of mortgage loans issued to private customers. Udmurtia falls behind in this respect, but is still a key territory for the UBRD, as the bank has quite a few customers in Izhevsk, and they will all be offered a mortgage.

The bank’s mortgage loan book rose by 60% in the first half of the year compared with the year 2017. The amount of mortgage loans is expected to increase even more impressively once this option has been made available in seven more cities.
