Sverdlovsk Region’s Drivers Get 250,000 Electronic Insurance Policies

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, June 7, 2018. 499,470 electronic third party liability car insurance policies got issued in Ural Federal District in the first five months of the year (compared with 565,202 policies in the entire year 2017). As recently as 2016, only 17,231 e-policies got issued all in all, the Bank of Russia’s Ural division’s press service reports.
The number of e-policy contracts for third party liability car insurance keeps rising by the month since the beginning of January: 73,461 e-policies got issued in January, 85,776 in February, 110,520 in March, and 139,485 in April.
Sverdlovsk Region is Ural Federal District’s No.1 constituency and Russia’s No.3 in terms of the number of e-policies for third-party liability car insurance issued this year so far. 251,337 e-policies got issued since the start of the year all in all. Khanty-Mansiysky Autonomous Region comes next (79,221), followed by Tyumen Region (69,365), Kurgan Region (53,296) Yamalo-Nenetsky Autonomous Region (26,486), and Chelyabinsk Region (19,765).
