UrBC, Moscow, May 31, 2018. EVRAZ Holding and Russian University of Transport (MIIT) signed a cooperation agreement to work together to design, build, and operate transportation infrastructure facilities, the company press service reports.
The paper was signed during the International Research-to-Practice High-Speed Rail Conference that Russian Railways’ Deputy Director-General Alexander Misharin is taking part in.
Under the terms of the agreement, the two parties will cooperate in the field of designing, building, and operating transportation infrastructure facilities (including high-speed commuter systems), as well as in the science sector (mostly to do with data analysis in the field of transport infrastructure operation).
‘High-speed rail links are crucial to the development of Russia’s entire transportation system. EVRAZ is currently the only national manufacturer that can produce suitable rails for the purpose. I’m positive that working together with MIIT will result in experience- and expertise-sharing and new solutions for high-speed commutes,’ says EVRAZ Vice President for Sales & Logistics Ilya Shirokobrod.
