MMK Gets ISO 50001 Certified

UrBC, Magnitogorsk, October 31, 2017. Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works (MMK) got rectified for compliance with the international standard ISO 50001 recently, the company Information, PR & Advertising Department reports.
MMK first got ISO 50001 certified in September 2016.
‘The auditors confirmed that, a year after the certificate has been issued, the company’s power management system fully meets all the standard requirements. The audit procedure went smoothly thanks to preparatory work (MMK’s fourteen internal audits of their power management systems in accordance with the top management-approved program), the department says.
Also, MMK’s structural divisions, MMK Science & Technology Center, and MMK Energy-Saving Technology Center came up with a list of important power-related indicators (over 370 as of July 1, 2017).
Finally, MMK Personnel Center coordinated a number of employee workshops for managers and blue- and white-collar workers on Power Management System Based on ISO 50001:2011 Requirements in order to improve their professional skills and competences in the field of efficient power management.
