Yekaterinburg: Travelers Spend 23% Less on Online Ticket Purchases

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, July 27, 2017. Yekaterinburg-based customers spent 7,400 RUR on average when puirhcainsg a plane ticket online in the first half of the year; according to Yandex.Dengi, this is 23% less than one year previously.

All in all, the number of online payments Yekaterinburg residents make rose by 52% against one year earlier, and the overall turnover rose by as much as 77%.

Apart from paying for plane tickets, locals tend to make their loan repayments online (2,700 RUR on average) and TV subscriptions (1,800 RUR).

Additionally, increasingly more payments are made to the government’s budget: the average amount of tax payments made online rose by 70% in the first half of the year and reached 900 RUR, while that of payments for government services rose by 25% and reached 670 RUR.

The average amount of speeding fines and traffic tickets paid online only went up by 2%, up to 553 RUR, which likely has to do with the fact that local drivers try to pay their fines within twenty days of issuance when they can do so at a 50% discount.
