UrBC, Yekaterinburg, May 2, 2017. GIRAFFE, the manufacturer of cranes that are currently used in the construction of the World Football Championship 2018 facilities in Yekaterinburg, Volgograd, Kaliningrad, Nizhniy Novgorod, and Saransk, is now working together with MegaFon, the telecommunications provider’s press service reports.

A group of companies dealing in crane technologies has already had new cranes installed at twelve stadiums in different Russian cities. MegaFon improved mobile connection quality and increased the speed of Internet connection by three times to meet the crane operators and technicians’ needs. The crane builders can now handle production, assembly, and supply issues in a much speedier manner.

‘What matters to us is good quality connection not only on sites where our cranes are installed but also on sites where the tower cranes and their components are made. When looking for the perfect solution to ensure reliable connection at our production site in Nyazepetrovsk, we decided to follow our neighbor and supplier MetMashUfaley’s suit. The mountainous locale where our plants are based used to mean the signal quality was very poor. Now MegaFon’s technicians made sure both our plant workers and residents of Verkhny Ufaley can enjoy reliable mobile communication services,’ says GIRAFFE IT Director Leonid Malcher.
