FGC UES Improves Power Supply to Magnitogorsk

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, April 26, 2017. Rosset’s Federal Grid Company United Energy Systems completed the first round of repairs at a 220-kilowatt electric main connecting Troitsk Power Station with PS 90, the company press service reports.
This resulted in more reliable electric power supply to end users in Magnitogorsk, including metallurgical enterprises based there.
The company energy engineers replaced over 60km of overhead ground-wire cables, checked the main supports, and adjusted their spark dischargers.
This year, the company technicians intend to make three more Chelyabinsk Region-based power facilities better protected against possible thunderstorms. For one, 200km of overhead ground-wire cables will get replaced at 220-kilowatt mains connecting Troitsk Power Station and PS 90, KS 19 and Chebarkul, and Chebarkul and Shagol, and at the 500-kilowatt main connecting Yuzhnouralskaya Power Station and Shagol.
