Ural Vagon Zavod Takes Part in WorldSkills

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, November 3, 2016. Ural Vagon Zavod Corporation is taking part in the blue-collar job championship WorldSkills for the third time this year; the championship is held in Yekaterinburg EXPO.

The company team (Motto: Tradition, Development, Leadership!) comprises five contestants from three of the corporation’s member enterprises: Ural Vagon Zavod (Nizhniy Tagil), Ural Transport Machine-Building Design Office (Nizhniy Tagil), and Uraltransmash (Yekaterinburg), the company press service reports.

The corporation sends winners of the championship’s company rounds to compete with representatives of Russia’s leading businesses. Winners of WorldSkills company round at Ural Vagon Zavod Ilya Repin and Dmitri Veliky are going to compete in Welding Technologies, as is Uraltransmash winner Ivan Osipovich. Ural Vagon Zavod’s NC mill operator and WorldSkills 2016 Sterlitamak company round bronze prize winner Dmitri Kuznetsov is going to compete in Milling, and Ural Transport Machine-Building Design Office’s designer Artem Reshetov is going to compete in CAD Engineering Graphics.

The winners will be announced on November 3, during the WorldSkills Championship closing ceremony.
