Ural Vagon Zavod to Take Part in ADEX 2016 in Baku

23 September 2016 (12:52)

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, September 23, 2016. Ural Vagon Zavod Corporation is going to present a few of its unique developments at the defense exhibition ADEX 2016 in Baku.

The company press service reports a transportable armored vehicle O&M station is meant to serve as their stand’s key feature. This is a fully functional operation and maintenance depot consisting of several units fit for various kinds of repairs of up to ten vehicles at a time.

The O&M station relies on the temporary building technology and makes it possible to get armored vehicles and equipment fault-diagnosed, assembled or dismantled, repaired, filled with fuel and other liquids or emptied, washed and paint-coated.

‘The entire unit takes (at least) a month to build and can get easily transported from one place to another. Since the station is made up of separate modules, the sizes and shapes can be very flexible. The station is unique in that it can be fitted with portable wind machines to produce up to 1 megawatt worth of electric power altogether, which will back up a full repair and maintenance cycle in any location, in any climate,’ Ural Vagon Zavod’s press service says.

Visitors to the exhibition will also be able to see a life-size sample of the corporation’s upgraded T-72 tank with a modern fire control system and a thermal pointer with added options.
