Yekaterinburg Proves Friendliest City for International Brands

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, June 14, 2016. Yekaterinburg has remained Russia’s No.1 city with population over 1m people in terms of how many international brands operate there for five years now.

According to Magazin Magazinov’s research findings, there are currently 169 brands running their shops in Yekaterinburg; this comes to 36% of the total number of international companies operating in Russia. Krasnodar is Russia’s second brand-friendliest city (152 brands), followed by Rostov-on-Don (131 brands).

Yekaterinburg also has the largest per capita amount of shopping space (481 m2 per every 1,000 residents).

26% of the brands are reported to be Italian and 29% come from the United States.
