Yekaterinburg’s 37th Mall Opens in Akademichesky

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, February 20, 2016. Deputy Mayor of Yekaterinburg for Commodities Market & Services Vladimir Bolikov took part in the opening of a new mall in Akademichesky District on February 18.

The city council’s press service reports 70% of shopping space at the mall located at the intersection of Wilhelm de Gennin St and Krasnolesye St have already been rented by local and national tenants.

Bolikov feels this obvious interest in the new mall is only logical: the building has been put up in a very promising and still growing neighborhood, and people who live here tend to be younger families with children and above-average incomes.

’The new shopping mall is 60,000 m2 big, with 50% of space given out to shops proper. There will be a large supermarket on the ground floor and the area’s first fitness studio and a swimming pool on the top floor. There will also be a five-screen cinema, a food court, a children’s play area (for children aged three or older). One big advantage for a densely populated area is a two-storey parking lot for 515 cars,’ the press service says.
