Sverdlovsk Region gets fewer tourists

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, August 5, 2015. 1.06m people traveled to Sverdlovsk Region last year, which was 100,000 people less than in the year 2013, Rostourism’s website states.
Sverdlovsk Region got 981,900 visitors from other parts of Russia (against 1,055,100 people in 2013) and 83,800 international travelers (against 92,000 people in 2013).
As for Ural Federal District, 2.78m people came on a visit (against 2.98m a year earlier), while the number of visitors from abroad increased from 161,900 people in 2013 to 167,700 people last year. Also, while Sverdlovsk Region got fewer international travelers than in the previous year, the number of visitors from abroad was up in Tyumen Region (36,500 people), Kurgan Region (2,500 people), Chelyabinsk Region (44,900 people), Khanty-Mansiysky Autonomous Region (19,500 people), and Yamalo-Nenetsky Autonomous Region (5,000 people).
