Omsktransmash gets triple revenue in first half of year
14 July 2015 (15:52)
UrBC, Yekaterinburg, July 14, 2015. Omsktransmash (a member enterprise of Uralvagonzavod Corporation) sold 2.75 times more goods (up to 6.8bn RUR, in monetary terms) in the first half of 2015 than in the first half of 2014, the corporation’s press service reports.
‘We sold nearly three times more military-purpose goods, both through export contracts and through procurement. At the same time, sales of goods from our foundry department went down; this was especially noticeable in the railway goods segment,’ the press service says.
Railway goods made up only 4% of the company’s production output in the first six months of the year 2014 and only 0.08% in the first half of the year 2015. The overall share of metallurgical products in the company’s output plummeted by almost four times (from 9.9% in the first half of 2014 down to 2.5% a year later). Despite the challenging economic circumstances, Omsktransmash still intends to increase its sales considerably this year.
