UrBC, Yekaterinburg, June 19, 2015. Volchansk Mechanical Plant (a member enterprise of Uralvagonzavod Corporation) funded the organization of a practice lab/workshop for mill operators at Karpinsk Machine-Building School, the corporation's press service reports.

The lab used to be located right on the plant's premises, yet moving it to the vocational school proved more convenient for the students. The plant equipped one of the classrooms and provided seven machines, all of them made in Russia, namely, a NC machine, three lathes, two drilling machines, and a desk-size tool grinder. All the mills are powerful enough and are quite suitable for training purposes. The mechanical and power departments did all the installation, electric, and lighting jobs.

Thanks to this cooperation between Uralvagonzavod Corporation's member enterprise and Karpinsk Machine-Building School, the school-leavers are sure to get jobs at Volchansk's primary plant. The enterprise needs mill operators, welders, crane operators, fitters, and electricians. The new lab will mean students will learn about the plant's production technicalities already at school and will be equipped with the necessary practical skills, which, in turn, will make it easier for them to fit in at their workplace.
