Yekaterinburg Customs foreign trade turnover comes to $4.9bn in first half of year

July 7, 2014. Foreign trade turnover within the Yekaterinburg Customs area amounted to $4.9bn in the first half of 2014, which is 1.06 times more than in the first half of 2013, Head of Yekaterinburg Customs Elena V. Pushkareva said at a press conference today.
Most of these foreign goods (86.9% of the entire amount) were either exported to or imported from the countries of the far abroad, while 13.1% were exported to or imported from the CIS member states.
Imports came to 23.7% of foreign trade turnover ($1.2bn), while exports came to 76.3% ($3.7bn).
Yekaterinburg Customs switched completely to electronic declaration forms recently. In the first half of the year, 12,900 electronic forms were submitted for imported goods and 24,200 declarations were submitted for exported goods.
