October 28, 2013. Ural Federal District-based federal constituencies spent nearly 660m RUR on e-government systems development in 2012-2013, URFOTech.ru’s research papers say.
To calculate the expenses, data from the official government purchases website were used. The research accounted for tenders for the creation, development, and administration of the electronic interdepartmental cooperation systems and tenders for the development of e-services and their becoming available via a single web portal. Tenders for buying the necessary equipment and IT-coverage of certain executive bodies and municipalities were not accounted for.
About a third of the total sum – 213.8m RUR – was spent by Khanty-Mansiysky Autonomous District, which was thus the biggest spender in Ural Federal District. Tyumen Region, which spent 112.3m RUR, came second, followed by Yamalo-Nenetsky Autonomous Region (102.9m RUR), Sverdlovsk Region (92.8m RUR), Chelyabinsk Region (87.8m RUR), and Kurgan Region (50m RUR).
