October 25, 2013. Sverdlovsk Region Tourism Development Center is launching a new app for iPhone and iPad in November. The app is a tourist guide on Sverdlovsk Region for those who’d like to explore the area on a driving tour, the center’s Director Elmira Tukanova says.

‘The main idea behind the app is to motivate both the locals and the residents of our neighboring constituencies to look at Sverdlovsk Region’s landmarks and plan weekend trips for their families. There are a lot of filters in this application that will allow the user to shape a holiday in accordance with the most suitable factors, for example, sports, culture, picnicking, and so on. There are also photos and brief descriptions of the sights,’ says Director of Mystand (the app developer) Mikhail Bogdanov.

Elmira Tukanova pointed out that the guide contents are still being complemented. Every week, new locations will become available there. What is more, she says all the questions and comments can be submitted to the center until November 15.
