October 10, 2013. The supply on Yekaterinburg existing homes market still comes to about 8,600 to 8,700 apartments and houses, as has been the case for a few months. This is 28% (or 1,850 apartments) more than at the start of the year, Ural Chamber of Real Estate’s Analytical Department says.

The median price of a square meter of housing is now 71,748 RUR. The prices keep going up slightly: over the last four weeks, the figure has gone up by 0.7% on average, and since the beginning of the year, the figure rose by 2.3%.

The existing homes market has faced fierce competition from the new homes market over the last few years: at the moment, the record-setting 2.5m sq m worth of new homes get built every year.

Prices have been moving up a little in all the market segments over the last few weeks.
