Yekaterinburg to get Exhibition Street in honor of EXPO 2020

August 13, 2013. A new street around the 14th kilometer of Yekaterinburg-Koltsovo Airport Highway is now called Vystavochnaya (Exhibition St). A decree to this extent was signed by Mayor of Yekaterinburg Alexander Yakob, Yekaterinburg Council's press service reports.
The name was chosen after a number of applications by Yekaterinburg residents who support the idea of the Urals' capital applying for the right to host the World Universal Exhibition EXPO 2020. The copies of the name-establishing decree were directed to the law-enforcement authorities, the technical inventory offices, the Russian Post, Sverdlovsk Region's division of the Ministry of Emergencies, the local divisions of the Federal Narration Service and Federal Tax Service, and V.F. Kapinos first-aid station.
