April 11, 2013. A young families contest was held at Chelyabinsk Tractor Plant (ChTZ) for the first time this year; the contest was dubbed ‘A Tight-Knit Family’, Uralvagonzavod Corporation’s press service reports.
The judges ruled that Mr. and Mrs. Zaitsev and their daughter Victoria were the most unanimous family. Natalia Zaitseva, an auditor at the plant’s Quality Directorate, and her husband Sergey, who works as a fork truck driver at the Technological Vehicles Department, were ahead of five finalist couples. Under the terms of this all-plant contest, applicants had to be under 35 years old and have one, two, or more children. In fact, there was the Ilyin family among the contestants, who involved all of their four children in the contest, including a five-month-old Masha.
To win the grand prize (30,000 RUR), both children and adults had to make an original presentation on their family, speak of their shared hobby, demonstrate their household skills and dancing performance. The competition was dedicated to the plant’s 80th anniversary that is to be celebrated on June 1, so there was also a task related to knowing the history of the company.
Other prizes varying between 10,000 RUR and 25,000 RUR were given out to the other finalists of the ‘A Tight-Knit Family’ contest.
