Flash Mob to Support EXPO 2020 Launched in Yekaterinburg

March 27, 2013. A large-scale flash mob in support of World Exhibition EXPO 2020 took place in front of Sverdlovsk Region Government building in Oktyabrskaya Square at 9:30 AM on March 26. About 200 people, all of them first-year students of local colleges, took part in the event.
The students used color light signals and lifted small flags in a certain order to send an encoded message to the BIE inspection committee that arrives in Yekaterinburg today.
‘We vote for EXPO’, the message said.
According to the participants, they decided to take part in the activity quite voluntarily. Most of them thought nothing of the cold weather, or of having to get up early. They feel the event was a success, and this was all that mattered.
