4 December 2012 (09:34)

December 4, 2012. Sverdlovsk Region Prime Minister Denis Pasler, President of EuroCement Group Mikhail Skorokhod, acting Mayor of Nevyansk Svetlana Kazantseva, and Director-General of Nevyansky Cementnik are to sign an agreement on the implementation of an investment project today, December 3, 2012. The project involves the construction of a cement-making station in Nevyansk, the regional Government’s Press Service Administration reports.

The new technological cement-manufacturing line will be housed in the existing facility of Nevyansky Cementnik in Nevyansk. The line is expected to produce 1.3m tons of cement annually.

What is more, the project developers believe it will create about 1,000 new jobs in the town. Given that over 700 people are officially registered as unemployed at the local employment center and that a large number of local people have jobs in the neighboring Kirovgrad and Nizhniy Tagil, this project will have a very positive impact on the local employment situation.
