Over 1m sq m Worth of Housing to Be Put up in Yekaterinburg in 2012

0.2 sq m per capita worth of housing was put up in Yekaterinburg in January-August 2012, the city council’s press service reports.

‘Over a million sq m worth of housing has been commissioned in Yekaterinburg annually for the last two years. The city council sees as its main objective keeping up with this tempo and ensuring good working conditions for all the building market players. This is why over 1 million sq m worth of housing is expected to be commissioned in Yekaterinburg by the end of 2012,’ the press service says.

According to forecasts, an additional 10.9m sq m worth of housing must be built in Yekaterinburg by 2020 in order to meet the average per capita demand.
