Enel OGK-5 Owes 25,635m RUR in Net Debt

The net debt of Enel OGK-5 came to 25,635m RUR as of June 30, 2012, the company’s press service reports.

In the first half of the year, the company produced 22,095 gigawatt-hours worth of electric power, which is 1,427 gigawatt-hours, or 7%, more than in the first half of 2011. Electric power sales reached 24,890 gigawatt-hours in the first half of 2012, which was 7% better than a year earlier, while the share of free market sales amounted to 84%.

Revenues resulting from the company’s core business activity reached 31,238m RUR, exceeding the figures for the first half of 2011 by 5%. EBITDA came to 7,720m RUR in the first half of the year, which was 1,580m RUR, or 26%, more than in the first half of 2011.

The company’s net profit amounted to 2,976m RUR in the first half of 2012, which was 200m RUR, or 7%, more than a year earlier.

Meanwhile, the company keeps struggling with its debtors by turning off their hot water supply. For one, a few of Yekaterinburg’s districts have been left without any hot water supply for over a month now. At the moment, Enel OGK-5 claims the hot water is missing because OOO STK owes them money.
