FAS Declares Government Order for Apple Products Illegal

Sverdlovsk Region division of Russia’s Antimonopoly Service admitted that a Rospil UrFO representative, who claimed that the government order for seven iPhones and six iPads by Apple had been illegitimate, was right.
‘The FAS’s division confirmed this complaint was justified. The order fails to comply with a number of regulations regarding the placement of government orders. We issued a decree to have the order countermanded,’ the agency reports.
Now Sverdlovsk Region Government placed an order for seven iPhones and six iPads by Apple; the maximum price was set at 176,120 RUR. According to the details of the order, these Apple products were to be bought for ‘Sverdlovsk Region Government’s needs.’
