Kommersant: Nomos-Bank’s liabilities might hinder development

29 March 2012 (09:18)

Nomos-Bank Group came up with a performance report for 2011 (compiled in accordance with the International Accounting Standards), Kommersant says. The Group’s net profit reached 12.1bn RUR by the end of 2011 against 7.4bn RUR in 2010.

Nomos-Bank is the key business within a group comprising five other banks: Nomos-Regionbank, Nomos-Siberia, Inbank, Khanty-Mansiysky Bank, and Novosibirsk Municipal Bank, as well as a number of non-financial organizations. The bank’s primary stockholders are ICT Group and the Czech Republic-based PPF Group.

According to Kommersant, the structure of its liabilities base might hinder the bank’s ambitious development plans: over 80% of the funds the bank has managed to attract – banks’ and customers’ accounts and deposits and debenture issues – are short-term ones (with a period of up to one year).
