Rospotrebnadzor: Raiffeisenbank, Renaissance, Rus-Bank Blacklisted

Banks operating in Sverdlovsk Region keep infringing upon their customers’ rights, Head of Sverdlovsk Region division of Rospotrebnadzor (the state consumer rights and well-being watchdog) Sergey Kuzmin announced at a press conference.
We believe that, among other factors, the reason for this is that people have grown more aware of their rights. They know what the violations consist in and they know where to apply,’ Kuzmin explained.
There is virtually not a single bank in the region that wasn’t found guilty of this or that infringement.
Rospotrebnadzor has a black list of banks that infringe on the customers’ rights more often than others. The list comprises Raiffeisenbank, Renaissance, and Rus-Bank.
We are trying to persuade them to use some sort of a standard agreement, but this is hard to do. There is a number of banks we take to court all the time, winning every time. However, they keep violating the law,’ the official added.
