UBRD SME Lending Program Turns Six

8 July 2011 (10:16)

The Ural Bank for Reconstruction & Development celebrates its SME lending program’s sixth anniversary this year. All this time, the terms of the program have been getting better to meet the market requirements. The program also keeps developing alongside the customers’ businesses, so some new loan offers and special bonus solutions have been created.

The program now comprises a wide range of loan schemes aimed to meet the small and medium enterprises’ various needs. Loans are available in most Russian regions where the UBRD runs its offices, that is, in Sverdlovsk and Chelyabinsk Regions, in the Republic of Bashkortostan, in Kirov, Orenburg, Voronezh, Belgorod, Izhevsk, Perm, and Tyumen.

In our attempts to improve the program, we have always seen meeting the SMEs’ needs for the best and the most convenient terms of financing as our top priority. For one, in order to cut down on the wait and the red tape for the customers, the decision on offering certain kinds of loans now only comes to one working day; besides, the potential borrowers can only submit their loan applications online. Finally, our program covers not only loans but also leasing services and bank guarantees,’ says the bank’s SME Director Elena Sorvina.
